No writing is ever wasted. Or so they say. I tell myself this as I consign the 37,209words of fresh prose that was my Work In Progress to the virtual landfill that is my "Starts/Unfinished" folder.
However, I do so with a sense of glee and release. It just wasn't what I wanted to write (whimsical fantasy parody) or how I wanted to write it (seat of the pants style). With the New Year fast approaching it also seems like a good time to snuff out this no starter and get ready for a fresh start with a new novel in the New Year.
So I'll be spending the Christmas period toying with a few ideas much more to my liking and gearing up to plan my next novel like a military campaign. In the meantime I'm still churning out RPG non-fiction and enjoying it. I also have two more Short stories to edit and get out there.
