Nothing Wasted

No writing is ever wasted. Or so they say. I tell myself this as I consign the 37,209words of fresh prose that was my Work In Progress to the virtual landfill that is my "Starts/Unfinished" folder.

However, I do so with a sense of glee and release. It just wasn't what I wanted to write (whimsical fantasy parody) or how I wanted to write it (seat of the pants style). With the New Year fast approaching it also seems like a good time to snuff out this no starter and get ready for a fresh start with a new novel in the New Year.

So I'll be spending the Christmas period toying with a few ideas much more to my liking and gearing up to plan my next novel like a military campaign. In the meantime I'm still churning out RPG non-fiction and enjoying it. I also have two more Short stories to edit and get out there.

We've all done this. It seems in order for me to finish a WIP it's got to excite me. If it doesn't excite me, then I'll bet others won't like it. Great to start planning for your new project in Jan.

Hey, LM that's pretty much how I was feeling about it. Thanks for stopping by to read and comment by the way.

You sound like me! haha...I really like this post. Keep up the writing! If you think your writing is wasted one day, trust me--it never is...You always come back to it one day. :)
